Happy Saturday, friends!
We would say we are pretty speechless over what God has done this week— except that we can’t stop saying these two words: thank you. We are overwhelmed by how He met us as we came before Him in surrender. Last night, His presence was so tangible in the room, there were moments it was hard to stand up! We loved hearing from you and seeing how God has met you in this time of prayer + fasting. It makes us so hungry for MORE!
Today, we want to encourage you. We know life continues and there will be many things vying for our attention. But let’s not give our hearts and devotion to anything but Jesus. His first love status in our hearts has to be protected, above all else.
There is a key to our continued maturation in our walk with Christ. It is an increasing desire for the spiritual (unseen), as opposed to the natural (seen) world. Romans 8:6 (NASB) says, “For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace.” This scripture reminds us it is a mindset. Wow! Let’s keep making up our mind to feed our desire for Jesus with MORE: more prayer, more Word, more worship. And, let’s continue to decide to starve our flesh. Those desires will have no fuel as we direct our minds and spirits toward Him. “If you want to grow spiritually, you need to love what God loves and hate what God hates.” -A.W. Tozer
Things can change for you from here on out. Your life doesn’t have to stay the same or go back to what it used to be. Jesus has made a way for NEW LIFE. We just have to say “YES” and step in deeper to where He’s calling us. Last night, we sang: “No matter the circumstance, the cross has sealed my destiny.” (Mighty Name of Jesus), and we’re going to live like we believe that! No matter what happens from here on out, we are no longer the same!
Our prayer is that you will continue to stir up that hunger. The closer you come to Jesus, the more you want to know Him, encounter His love, and experience His power. We believe this year has so much in store for you and for LifeChurch.
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.” Galatians 2:20-21
This is what we’re listening to today: Right Response
We’ll see you tomorrow morning! Come hungry for more of Him!
“That means you must not give sin a vote in the way you conduct your lives. Don’t give it the time of day. Don’t even run little errands that are connected with that old way of life. Throw yourselves wholeheartedly and full-time—remember, you’ve been raised from the dead!—into God’s way of doing things. Sin can’t tell you how to live. After all, you’re not living under that old tyranny any longer. You’re living in the freedom of God.” Romans 6:13 MSG
We love you!
