“So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.
‘For in just a little while,
the Coming One will come and not delay.
And my righteous ones will live by faith.
But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.’” Hebrews 10:35-38 NLT
Rather than just a week spent seeking the Lord, we pray this consecrated time and His Holy Spirit within you will catapult you into a way of living that speaks this: I can no longer delay.
We have fasted in a posture to say: “Jesus, you’re all I need.” Let our prayer continue to be: “I give everything for Your everything, God.” From now on, let’s allow the story of God to get more of our attention than any other thing. There truly is only one story, and it’s His. But knowing where we are in the story is critical, especially in this hour.
“He swore an oath in the name of the one who lives forever and ever, who created the heavens and everything in them, the earth and everything in it, and the sea and everything in it. He said, “There will be no more delay.” Revelation 10:6 NLT
So, as far as us, there should no longer be any delay! Anything we have been holding back, waiting to walk out with Jesus— no more delay. He is coming! And when He does, there will be no more curse, no more delays. Let’s be ready, fully ready – immersed completely in His Word and His truth.
“No longer will there be a curse upon anything. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him. And they will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads. And there will be no night there—no need for lamps or sun—for the Lord God will shine on them. And they will reign forever and ever”. Revelation 22:3-5 NLT
Let us be encouraged and not forget: “You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.” Colossians 2:13-15 NLT
We don’t have to be held back by anything! We can walk in the fullness of His grace and glory RIGHT NOW because “it is no longer I, but Christ lives in me”.
We must be on guard, to protect this most precious thing—our union with Christ. We are no longer bound, no longer slaves, no longer desolate, and we will no longer forget the ways He has redeemed us and rescued us! So today, we must no longer delay.
Are there new revelations you have felt the Holy Spirit show you this week? Respond! Are there promises you need to claim over your bodies, spirits, and mind? Receive! Are there new places you want to go with the Lord? Run! Are there ruins that need to be restored by His power? It’s time to rebuild!
“By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.” 2 Peter 1:3-4 NLT
“In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises.” vs. 5
Friends – don’t wait. Don’t let the world or circumstances tell you that anything is more important than pursuing Jesus Christ! He is the goal; He is the prize.
Today, we’re also praying with you for those that we are still believing for to encounter Jesus. In the text we’ll read, we’re reminded that there’s a reason for our waiting for His return: to give others time to be saved. We want to be part of that plan too, so we make ourselves available to Him in obedience. Lord, let us be part of calling your children home to you!
“Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.” Deuteronomy 7:9 NIV
Read 2 Peter chapters 1 and 3— let it encourage you: He is coming!
Take some time to listen to this today: He Who is to Come.
We encourage you to set everything else aside tonight and be there to worship. We believe God is going to move in a powerful way! Invite your friends and family—saved or unsaved—to be in His presence! Can’t wait to see you at 7pm!
We love you!
