FAQ

What is camp?
This is a 5 day summer camp jam-packed with activities, opportunities to build lasting friendships, and powerful moments in God’s presence. Our mornings will have devotional time and in the evenings, there will be services with worship, the word, and ministry time. Every day will be packed with fun activities including pool hangs, paddle boats, hikes, and so much more!

Camp is a great way to truly connect with our youth ministry. It’s a place where we have seen God do some incredible things in student’s lives and we want everyone to be a part!
Where is camp?
Fresh Summer Camp 2025 will take place at Camp Mihaska. It is about 1 hour away (from church) in Bourbon, Missouri. From a beautiful chapel, dorm-style accommodations, excellent meals and an on site pool and great activities, this campground has everything we need to facilitate a really great summer camp experience.
Will my teenager be safe?
Your student’s safety is of utmost importance to us! Each adult on campus will have secured a background check. Students will be placed in cabins based on their age and gender. Bathroom facilities are gender specific as well.

There is a nurse available on site to administer medication or make emergency decisions if needed. There is also always a lifeguard present during pool hours.
What about meals and snacks?
From lunch on Monday to breakfast on Friday, each meal will be covered by camp! The cost of meals is included in registration.

The campground has a snack bar (mostly just little treats) that will be open at various times throughout the week. We encourage students to bring cash if they would like to buy anything from the snack bar.

If your student chooses to bring any snacks, please be sure they are nut free! If your teenager has any allergies please list them in the appropriate section when registering them so we can be sure to accommodate.
Who do I tell if my student has allergies?
There is a field in the registration form to note any allergies or medical conditions. Please be sure to indicate it on the registration form.
How will my teenager get to and from camp?
Our camp is in Bourbon, 1 hour away from Fenton. We will be taking the students there! The bus cost is an add on in registration.

If you would like to bring or pick up your student separately, please let us know. Specific times of leaving and arriving will be sent out closer to camp, but plan on leaving for camp Monday morning and arriving back to St. Louis around mid-morning on Friday!
Are cell phones allowed at camp?
We do have a strict cell phone policy at camp with the primary purpose being that we really want students to be able to disconnect from everyday life and be fully present with what God is doing at camp.

We highly encourage you to not send your students with a phone this year. If students do bring a phone, we will be keeping them in a secure lockbox in a space that leaders have access to.

Parents will have access to our youth pastor’s phone numbers, as well as all of the contact information for the camp, in case of emergency. We highly encourage parents to talk to their students about these restrictions before coming to camp, so that it can be a great experience for everyone.
What should I tell my teenager to pack for camp?
We will send a parent pack with all the details for packing closer to July. Please watch your email for that information!
Are registrations refundable?
Registrations are not refundable, but they are transferable. If you would like to transfer your registration to a different youth, please email fresh@lifechurchstl.com.
How can I contact you?
Feel free to email fresh@lifechurchstl.com with any questions! We will also ensure that you have email and phone number information during the camp week.
